Sawtelle is not always about Japanese food. Sonoritas Prime Tacos is relatively new to this famous Japanese LA neighborhood, but if you were to look at their online reviews they have already made a pretty good impression.
L.A. Weekly is excited to confirm the final restaurant line-up for Tacolandia 2016, our fourth annual gourmet taco festival. Taking place on Saturday, June 11 from 3 to 7 p.m. at downtown’s El Pueblo de Los Angeles, the event will feature over 130 top taco vendors curated by the World’s First Tacorazzo, Bill Esparza.
The Al Pastor taco was by far the most delicious. If I weren’t so full, I’d probably order all four again. The Al Pastor was definitely my favorite though. The mix of pineapple and habanero salsa was super amazing.
3 Sonoritas Prime Tacos – This Sawtelle Japantown newcomer slings meat-intensive tacos derived from Mexico’s Sonora region, from ribeye steak to filet mignon, with fish tacos and bbq rib options thrown in for good measure.
